Lodestone Recruitment is currently working with an established global manufacturing business based in Rotherham who are looking to recruit an apprentice-trained CNC Miller to join a high-volume CNC machining environment.
This is a long-term, permanent opportunity offering good pay, stability, and excellent benefits.
The Role
- Setting and operating 5-Axis CNC vertical milling machines
- Machining on Soraluce machine
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Working closely with operators to maintain output and delivery schedules
- Proving programs, setting tools, offsets, and reference points
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Working to tight tolerances and deadlines
Shifts & Hours
- 38 hours per week
- Rotating early and late shifts - WEEK 1: 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 6am-12pm WEEK 2 Monday to Wednesday 2pm-12pm Thursday 2pm-10pm
Requirements
Essential:
- Apprentice-trained Machinist with a bias in CNC Milling
- Must have experience with 5-Axis Machining Centres
- Experience programming, setting and operating Heidenhain controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident working to tight tolerances
