Estimator – Engineering

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

We are working with an established engineering company in Sheffield who are looking to add an Estimator to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a reputation for high-quality work, technical expertise, and long-term investment in their people.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for engineering projects within Defence, Nuclear, and other highly regulated sectors.
• Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to provide precise costings.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather information and ensure estimates are commercially viable.
• Supporting business development and project teams to win new work and deliver high-value projects.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in medium to heavy engineering, ideally within Defence, Nuclear, or other high-integrity sectors.
• Previous experience as an Estimator in fabrication, machining, or related engineering environments.
• Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and produce accurate cost breakdowns.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
