Maintenance Engineer – Sheffield£42,500 per annum + Bonus + Benefits

Rotational Shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm

Lodestone Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a Sheffield-based manufacturing business that is a global leader in its field. Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be part of a small, skilled maintenance team, providing hands-on support to both the R&D and Engineering departments. You’ll carry out maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement work on a range of plant and equipment, ensuring the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Logging all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities.
• Supporting modifications, installations, and improvement projects.
• Assisting with Safety Management, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Isolation Procedures.
• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a high standard of safety and reliability across all equipment.

Skills & Experience

We’re keen to hear from Maintenance Engineers who have some or all of the following:

• Apprentice-trained in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally with a mechanical bias.
• Experience with PPM systems and record keeping.
• Knowledge of bench fitting and/or machining.
• Some understanding of electrical systems (advantageous).
• Experience working with furnaces or similar plant equipment (desirable).
• Strong safety awareness and experience in Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• FLT / MEWP licence (preferable).

• £42,500 annual salary
• Rotational shifts (Mornings & Afternoons: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) with on rotational on-call duties
• 21 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with service
