Role Summary:

As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for the preparation and machining of precision components using conventional methods. This includes drilling, tapping, and turning operations. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and take pride in producing work to a high standard, often for use in safety-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual machining tasks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and quality targets

Requirements:

• Proven experience in manual machining within a precision engineering environment
• Skilled in turning, drilling, and tapping operations
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Familiarity with working in sectors such as defense, nuclear, or other high-integrity industries is advantageous but not essential
